Watch a live performance by Lapalux featuring Andreya Triana on vocals, recorded at London’s Maida Vale Studios. The original is, of course, taken from the new Lapalux album Lustmore, released last month on Brainfeeder.

Flying Lotus Maida Vale Session

Los Angeles’ very own Flying Lotus is joined by his cousin Ravi Coltrane, singer Andreya Triana, Thundercat on bass, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson on violin andsome others for a recording session at the BBC’s Maida Vale Studios.

Three tracks from that session are also available on Gilles Peterson‘s latest radio-show, available for 7 more days on the BBC iPlayer.

Let’s sum up some the Twitter happenings this week, we haven’t done this in quite a while!

Nalden posted the trailer for the Influencers documentary a while ago, now the full film can be watched online. The only disappointment is its lengths, it runs for only 13 minutes.

Another documentary goes by the name of Jamdown, a thirty-year-old film on roots reggae by French director Emmanuel Bonn.

For Mochilla’s Mulatu Astatke show, British DJ and producer Quantic has put together a mixtape titled Music, Words, & Arrangements from Ethiopia. Mark de Clive-Lowe made a mix to promote his Church night in Los Angeles.

Serbian label Svetlana Industries teamed up with Kelpe to present their fifth shortcast on MixCloud. More podcasts come from Space Dimension Controller (for Resident Advisor) and Matthewdavid (for XLR8R).

Andreya Triana – A Town Called Obsolete (Mount Kimbie Remix)

As mentioned on Twitter yesterday, Ninja Tune is giving away this free Mount Kimbie remix as part of their 20th anniversary celebration.

Taken off Andreya‘s soon to be released debut Lost Where I Belong, the remix was previously available on her single A Town Called Obsolete.

You’ve got to love this new video for Andreya Triana‘s latest single for its use of stereo photography alone, needless to mention the music is beautiful too.

The single will be out on June 26 and features a live-version and a remix by Mount Kimbie. If you’re among the first 20 to pre-order the download version, you will win a rare CD signed by Andreya.

Bonobo – Eyesdown

The second single off Bonobo’s Black Sands album once again features vocals from the gifted Andreya Triana. This is the music-video directed by Steve Glashier.

You can already get this single on 12-inch and digital. It features stunning remixes from Floating Points and Appleblim & Komonazmuk. A third remix from Warrior One can be downloaded from the Bonobo website.

Andreya Triana – Lost Where I Belong (Flying Lotus Remix)

Originally scheduled for February 8, Andreya Triana‘s debut single Lost Where I Belong will now be released on the 5th of April. The only remix featured on the single comes from LA’s Flying Lotus, with whom Andreya previously collaborated on the stellar Tea Leaf Dancer.

This preview version of the remix can be downloaded for free on the Ninja Tune website (registration required).

Later in August, Andreya’s debut album of the same name will follow, produced by Ninja Tune’s very own Bonobo.
