Robert Winter is one of Germany’s most admirable young photographers, known for his photos of the music scene in and around the city of Cologne. Following several press shots for fLako, Robert has just completed a video for the Chilean-German beatmaker and producer, who’s got a new album coming out in late May.
The album is called The Mesektet and will be out 2-LP, 7-inch and digital release via Project Mooncircle. In the meantime, you can also download a free track.
As a follow-up to their encounter with Lefto, Berlin’s Kwatro collective has released an all new mixtape from Robot Koch.
No tracklist, just good music. You can listen to this on Mixcloud or download it from the Kwatro blog. The beautiful artwork comes from French artist 96.
Having worked all day, staring at the screen, this new track from Hubert Daviz‘s upcoming project “Procedure De Rutina” is just what I needed. With material sampled from old Romanian records, Hubert created these mellow vibes, giving me the peace I needed so badly.
Look out for a full release in mid-February, it will be released through Kwatro.
Whether its the tight production or his sure hand for picking great vocalists, everything fLako touches lately turns into a big chunk of gold. Here’s his new tune I’m loving right now, it’s a cooperation with Toronto’s amazing voice of Amenta.
You can grab this track (and that other) from Kwatro‘s SoundCloud page (or both from UpMyAlley). Be sure to leave him a comment, too!
Another killer track this week comes from Berlin’s fine Kwatro collective, a collaboration between Beat Dimensions recruit Mike Tibbert and Kwatro’s very own fLako.
You don’t have to speak any Dutch to fall in love with the fresh flow from Mike and the tight beats from Kreuzberg’s finest. You can download the tune for free on SoundCloud.
