Our friends at On-Point released a new record by JtotheC & the Bad Mothas the other day and were generous enough to post the full tracks on their SoundCloud page.
The original version by JtotheC is already my favourite in the label’s young history, but wait until you hear the remixes by Kid Sublime, Billy Palmier, Monkey Robot or Sleepin Giant.
A digital release is already available from partnering label Citywurl and On-Point’s Bandcamp. A vinyl record is set for a release later in July.
The folks at On-Point TV once again came up with a great video interview, this time they sat down with one of the biggest name out of Detroit lately: Kyle Hall!
While he’s probably still best known for his work for Hyperdub, he recently provided remixes for Jimi Edgar, Space Dimension Controller and has been featured on a new compilation from Rick Wilhite.
Following interviews with Dorian Concept, Martyn and others, Belgian blog On-Point managed to capture moments from the Flying Lotus interview for the final issue of Apollo Magazine.
Flying Lotus talks about video-game influence, missing a musical mentor, education and the importance of life experience.
Here’s another one of those great video interviews by the On-Point crew. Together with Martyn, they visit his hometown Eindhoven to talk about the city’s influences, the Detroit techno sound and how all that ended up in one of the biggest dubstep albums to date, Great Lengths.
Only recently, Martyn has put together the 50th edition of Fabric’s classic mix-series. You get your copy from the Fabric website, starting this week.
Another interview with Dorian Concept comes from On-Point, talking about his YouTube videos, the beloved Micro Korg and his collection of second-hand shirts.
Always nice to have a video interview, much respect to the On-Point crew!
If you’re more into reading, you can find more interviews at Bodytonic, Shanghaiist and well, I have done one myself.
