Chances are you already heard the latest FACT Magazine podcast, a live recording of Jamie xx & Oneman. The two were playing back to back at what appears to be the hottest club in the UK right now: London’s Boiler Room. Expect a selection from disco and boogie to garage reworks of nineties pop-dancefloor tunes. A bit crazy, but really nice.
Next up we got last week’s Dummy Mix from Dutch producer 2562, in which he plays new music he’s “feeling from all over the place.” Also available from his SoundCloud page, just in case you feel you need to press the +fav button.
Our podcast contributor Kelpe did a guestmix for Tom Ravencroft’s show on 6 Music show last month. If you missed that one, you can grab the download off SoundCloud.
Paul Pre, another contributor to our podcast series, will be playing at this year’s Outlook Festival in Croatia. To promote himself and the event, he put a new mix on Mixcloud.
For oki-ni, dubstep producer Martyn did a mix “as if it were a spring afternoon radio show, with a few jingles and music from across the board”, including Carl Craig, Tom Tom Club, Austin Peralta and Caribou.
I got some more bass music for you released in the last couple of weeks: SBTRKT‘s recent show on Rinse FM (direct link), the Throwing Snow guestmix for Get Me, and Fantastic Mr Fox did one for The Guardian.
We’re gonna end this as we started, with another recording from the Boiler Room by Kutmah.
About a year ago, Paul Pre suprised us with a contribution to our podcast. Now, those familiar with him know there’s hardly a month without a new mixtape, but we felt this one deserves some extra-attention.01. Fantastic Mr. Fox – Evelyn

LA’s Stones Throw label has two new releases out now, one of them being the 5-LP box set of Dâm-Funk’s album Toeachizown. The second new offering is quite a surprise to me, it’s the instrumentals of Mayer Hawthorne‘s A Strange Arrangement.
Paul Pre, the man behind the latest podcast, is about to launch his club night Vast and now offers his own podcast series. You can listen to the first three on Mixcloud.
Meatskull have posted this very exclusive mixtape from Massive Attack’s 3D. Back in 2002, this was a give-away to the first 200 attendees of a Nocturne club in Bristol.
More than six hours of music are featured on this recording of a Move D party in Switzerland. Fans of deep house and minimal techno need to grab this 529 megabyte monster!

And speaking of books, the author of my favourite novel The Catcher in the Rye, Jerome David Salinger has passed away this week. Rest In Peace!
Actually a designer, Paul Pre is best known as DJ behind countless mixtapes. Following contributions to Mondayjazz, Moovmnt and Musique Large, Paul has put together his latest mixtape for nutriot. While he is know to put together instrumental hip-hop mixes, this one is actually the first dubstep/garage mix from him – and it’s just as good as his others!
When he isn’t working on quality mixtapes, Paul Pre is also playing at parties. His new club night Vast will kick off this February, starting with special guest fLako.
