Oh, we’re early with our weekend mixtapes selection, but there have been quite a few worthy ones this week.
Now that the new album by Space Dimension Controller is finally out, the Belfast-based producer has put together a mix for ClashMusic. And check out this interview while you’re at it.
Ukrainian deep house producer Vakula spent some time in London and played some records at Boiler Room, as well as on Alexander Nut’s Rinse.fm show (direct link!) And if that wasn’t enough, here’s a third one recorded after we first posted this article.

Another new album comes from my good friend Bruno Morais, who turned his back on his previous electronic productions to produce a very traditional recording of Brazilian music. You can watch his first music video on YouTube.

Two years after the release of his album Underwater Dancehall, dubstep producer Pinch is releasing remixes of the track “Get Up”. The track features Bugz in the Attic live vocalist Yolanda, who also lent her voice to Massive Attack before. Here’s a video for the track.
Brainfeeder’s Teebs has designed 100 unique 7-inch sleeves for the new Primary1 single. The artwork is currently exhibited at London’s Rough Trade store, where it is also being sold exclusively.

An epic jam session with musicians Pharoahe Monch, Shafiq Husayn and Om’Mas Keith of SA-RA, Brook D’leau of J*Davey, Mark de Clive-Lowe, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Thundercat, and more took place in Los Angeles this summer. You previously might have heard this older audio-snippet, today here’s a new video from ArtDontSleep.

Tunnelvision is the new album from Dutch trumpeter Rob van den Wouw produced by Mark de Clive-Lowe. It will be out officially on October 27th, but it looks it will only make it to stores in the Netherlands. However, Mark has put some previews from the album on his SoundCloud page, you can listen to them below.
Also new is this recording of a jam session that took place in Los Angeles only last week. The list of musicians involved reads like an all-star cast that includes Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Shafiq Husayn of Sa-Ra, Computer Jay and others.
