Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood label is readying a new release by Japanese death jazz outfit Soil & “PIMP” Session, presumably a 12-inch with remixes.
No further details yet, but you can already listen to the Doc Daneeka‘s remix above. The original version of Pop Korn was previosuly available on 10-inch and the band’s sixth studio album.

The lastest edition of Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Podcast features Japan’s death jazz giants Soil & “PIMP” Sessions. In order to get you warmed up for their upcoming Koko gig, the podcast is made of live recordings from previous concerts at The Roundhouse and Bush Hall.
