Following the self-titled debut and last year’s Zootie, Will Bankhead’s Trilogy Tapes is about to release a new Rezzett 12-inch towards the end of next week. You might remember we already shared the track Twizzta some weeks back, but the targeted release date was pushed back until now. Should you decide to order your copy directly from the TTT shop, you might also be interested in the Rezzett Live cassette.
Will Bankhead’s Trilogy Tapes label has put out plenty of good music in 2014, I counted more than two dozens of 12-inches alone (plus mixtapes and collaborative releases!) But since the year isn’t quite over yet, watch out for more to come. Next in the pipeline is another one from Rezett, his third on the label following Zootie EP from earlier this year.
Listen to a first track in the player above before TTT032 lands in all good record stores on December 18, 2014!
Oh, and we have another one from The Trilogy Tapes we would like to announce today, for Anthony Naples releases his follow-up to last year’s El Portal on the label. You can stream all of the four tracks in the player above before making up your mind. The opener “Perro” has been a personal favourite ever since I heard it on the Hessle Audio show and I can’t wait to pick up my personal copy. Available from the TTT store and all good record stores as of July 20th.
A couple of months ago, we posted a new track by mysterious producer Rezzett and kept wondering when The Trilogy Tapes would release it into the wild. Today, the Will Bankhead-operated label not only shared the remix you can hear above, but also revealed the record would be available next week in limited quantities with hand-printed sleeves. Highly recommended!
The Trilogy Tapes is an amazing label, a label that truly amazes in many ways. Considering that the label run by Will Bankhead has been operating for six years already, it clearly took me a while to hear about them, but thanks to to Hessle Audio guys’ radio show that has changed sometime last year. When I look at the label’s discography it’s one half artists I’ve come to love for some years now: Kassem Mosse, Theo Parrish, Dean Blunt, MGUN, Dro Carey, A Made Up Sound, and so forth. The other half is probably even more interesting, since whenever for everything I listened to so far has been something worth checking out. So, the latest addition to that latter half would be the artist called Rezzett, who seems to by readying his second release on TTT. And since there’s no further info on that, I leave you with Mr Beatnick’s comment that made me click on the link to the track in the first place: “Sound of a neon skatepark in space, rezzett waxing the fluorescent rails.”
