Shigeto live on KEXP

Before he played at this year’s Decibel Festival in Seattle, Zach Saginaw aka Shigeto payed KEXP radio a visit to perform a couple of tracks live, two of them taken from his latest album No Better Time Than Now. You can watch the entire session (including an interview) above or check out the individual tracks Ringleader, Perfect Crime, R Life and Ann Arbor part 3 & 4.

Shigeto – Detroit Part 1

Here’s our second Shigeto post for today, this time following the Ghostly-signed producer as he plays a cut from his new album in a car the middle of the desert of Idaho. That, of course, sounds a lot like Into The Wood’s Carsick series, who regularly invite producers for a ride.

Shigeto – Olivia

I didn’t see this coming, but following last year’s Lineage, Shigeto already completed a new album for Ghostly International. For some the Michael Cina artwork might be reason enough to get a copy of the vinyl record, but if the rest of the album sounds as fine as the track above, there aren’t any excuses for not getting “No Better Time Than Now”. According to the Ghostly store, pre-orders will ship around August 20th.

Update You also want to check out this video of Shigeto playing live. In a car. In the desert.

Shigeto – This is for y’all

Only four days left until Shigeto‘s debut Full Circle will be released on Ghostly, so the Brooklyn based producer decided to give away another track to his supporters. You can download it from his SoundCloud page and leave him a comment.

Shigeto is also reponsible for the latest GhostlyCast, in which he plays music from contemporaries such as Samiyam, Devonwho or Actress, but also Black Milk, Slum Village or DJ Krush.

Shigeto – And We’re Gonna Go (Samiyam Remix)

Following a couple of EPs on Moongadget and Ghostly, Brooklyn based Shigeto is set to release his first album Full Circle. Apparently, there will also be a remix album and that’s where this Samiyam remix is taken from.

Full Circle will be out on Ghostly on November 19, but don’t ask me about the remixes. In the meantime you can download the remix, another track can be found over at the YSK blog.
