I haven’t known about Fulgeance‘s side-project Connecticut until minutes ago and maybe you haven’t either. Apparently, it was started by Fulgeance and Blockbass around 2003 and they released two EPs under the name on Eklektik Records.
This tracks are pure unreleased, sometimes played straight from my ol’friend MPC 2000, raw mixes, you can even hear some fails on live playing (eheh!), but this project gave me so much energy, fun and feelings, I had to share it with you.
For repeated listens, you might want to download the beat tape while it’s around. The single tracks are supposed to be available as well, I will post the link once I got it now also available for limited download.
Admittedly, I’m not a much of a Lorn fan, but still his new beat tape is offering a couple of tracks I like. Most of the 38 tracks are rough sketches, but some of the longer tracks are definitely worth checking out. I’ve chosen “Pause” to be my favourite and this is what it sounds like.
If you want to check out the rest of the beat tape, head over to the Brainfeeder website and download it before the links expire.
Unfortunately, there is no tracklist available for this (might follow soon), but it features tracks from the mentioned beat tape and others from his upcoming album. If you like Dabrye, Lukid, Flying Lotus or anybody of the so-called Beat Generation, you should fall in love with this collection.
