Broken beats that don’t suck? Must be from 2004! In this case it’s true, as Mark de Clive-Lowe has uploaded some old demos recorded with Mark Force of Bugz in the Attic. The track below is my favourite, it has Bembe Segue on vocals, beats from G-Force and Mashi playing the keys.
The MashForce tracks were supposed to end up on 12-inch, but as this never happened, you can now download them on SoundCloud.
Following the posting about the new Blakai Productions are two videos from their recording sessions. They have been recorded at the old Bugz studio (where Goya Music was residing) in November 2006. On footage are the recordings for a yet unreleased track with Philadelphia’s Lady Alma. Kaidi Tatham is playing the keys, while Mark Force does all the Logic work.
Thanks to idleberg for posting these on Beyond Jazz only minutes ago!
Mark Force and Kaidi Tatham are both members of the Bugz in the Attic collective, but they also produce music together under the name of Blakai. So far there have been two 12-inches and another track on Dego’s The Good Good 3. Other tracks like a collaboration with Lady Alma were played at the Co-Op nights, but never made it being released.
However, Mark has mixed together a couple of tracks for the Blakai Productions 2009 mixtape. It runs only about 5 minutes, but it’s something you want to keep until a new release shows up.
