Mixmag’s latest mix of the week comes from Detroit’s Rick Wade, expect an hour full of house music.
My personal favourite in this week’s selection is Linkwood‘s contribution of “random b-sides and weirdnesss” to the podcast series by their label Firecracker.
And lastly, Hyponik remind us of a producer’s name that might have slipped off your radar: Nubian Mindz
Haven’t done these in a while, but this week there are enough mixes worth a mention. Shall we start?
One-Handed‘s Dedication series is one of the more exciting podcasts, each episode being dedicated to just one artist. This time it’s Mr Beatnick who shares his love for Sun Ra on his eclectic mix (he wrote about him before!)
Next up is something I’ve mentioned before in a side-note, the second podcast by the Tempoclash crew. And it’s a special one as Danny Breaks doesn’t do many mixes these days.
There are many varieties of house music, here are four mixes representing four different styles: Joy Orbison for Resident Advisor, Recondite’s mix for Hush House, a new Linkwood podcast, and some deepness from Sven Weisemann.
LuckyMe‘s Dominic Flannigan and Claude Speeed provided the soundtrack for the The Goodhood Store‘s fifth anniversary, 100 minutes of ambient music.
If you always wanted to download Kelpe‘s Ping mix for oki-ni, you can now do so for a limited time!

His previous two Lover’s Melt mixtapes still produce a lot of search queries on this site, so you might be happy to hear about the third installment in Flying Lotus‘ series.
And it’s once again one of FlyLo’s pears, London based DJ Kutmah, who has got a mix to deliver. This time he was asked by FACT Magazine to contribute to their podcast series.
Martin Clark’s Blackdown blog did a feature on Om Unit and his Cosmic Bridge label. Comes with a short interview and a mix.
Recorded at an Oslo RBMA party, listen to a live set by Four Tet.

Boiler Room co-founder Thristian aka the bPm put together TOOHOTTOLISTENTOTECHNO for the guys at oki-ni
And lastly, another one from the archives: the Hyponik podcast by Photomachine.
Work on the backend of the site and traveling around have kept me from posting many mixtapes this year, but then again I don’t recall much worth posting. So here is a selection of recommended mixtapes released throughout the month.
About six months ago, we were happy to have Gerry Read contribute to our own podcast series. Since then, the 20 year old Englishman released three much acclaimed 12-inches on the Fourth Wave label. Reason enough for XLR8R to invite him to do their first podcast of the year.
Boiler Room #69 was easily the most successful session to date, with thousand tuned in for the Thom Yorke’s DJ set. The really good sets that night came from others: Lone, Illum Sphere and Jamie xx with Caribou. And it’s the latter’s mix that’s finally available for download.
Two new mixes come from Hyperdub’s own Ossie. The young Londoner guested on GETME! Radio radio-show, as well as on the Hyperdub show on Rinse.
The latest Sonic Router mix comes from Moscow’s Pixelord, interview and download can be found here!
For some proper house music, check out the latest from Linkwood.
And lastly some older mixes. SBTRKT returned to Rinse for his third show, Kuedo did a mix for Motto Distribution, and King Midas Sound contributed to Dummy Mag‘s podcast.
