Radiohead – Bloom (Jamie xx Rework Part 3)

So I have been away for some days, but things are back at normal. Here’s one track from some days ago you have to hear if you haven’t already, it’s another version of Jamie xx rework for Radiohead.

This version wasn’t on the TKOL RMX 1234567 double-CD, but will be out on the 8th remix single starting tomorrow. Makes me rethink about my favourite remix in the series, can’t wait to get my hands on this (though this seems to be a digital only release – noooo!)

January 20, 2012 Young Turks just announced a limited release of the remix on vinyl. Pre-order from their shop today!

Cover Artwork

With the last of the seven TKOL RMX 12-inches being out on Monday, all tracks from the forthcoming double-disc TKOL RMX 1234567 have been revealed on Radiohead‘s SoundCloud profile.

Among the remixers of the band’s eighth studio album The King of Limbs is an all-star cast of (mostly UK-based) artists such as Jamie xx, Mark Pritchard, Four Tet, Pearson Sound, Lone, SBTRKT and many others. But all that shouldn’t be much of a surprise after all Thom Yorke has been involved in recent years: collaborating with the likes of Flying Lotus and Modeselektor, playing records on Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide and the Mary Anne Hobbs radio show and even at reknowned Low End Theory. Not to forget the band’s office charts on their website.

So, let’s give you the opportunity to listen to the entire remix album as it will hit the stores in about two weeks time.

Hardcore fans who still play CDs might be interested in the Japanese import of TKOL RMX 1234567 which is already available from HMV Japan (and soon on Amazon Canada. The rest of the world has to wait until October 10, the official release-date.

Radiohead – Separator (Four Tet Remix)

You had the chance to listen to those Mark Pritchard remixes for Radiohead the other week, now here’s the Four Tet mix off the third in the series of 12-inches.

It’s backed up by some equally strong remixes from Lone and Pearson Sound, and you can pick it up on vinyl or digital from Bleep and many other places.

Mark Pritchard remixes Radiohead

As mentioned yesterday, Mark Pritchard has contributed two remixes to the new Radiohead 12-inch, one of them under his Harmonic 313 moniker. You can stream both versions of Bloom after the jump.

Mark Pritchard remixes Radiohead

Sounds good? Yes! Luckily, these are available as of today on 12-inch and digital release, also including a remix from Nathan Fake. Get your copy from Bleep or wherever you usually find good music.

October 1, 2011 All the tracks from the forthcoming remix album are now available for stream!

Kissey Asplund's Radiohead Cover

Singer Kissey Asplund has posted her cover-version of Radiohead‘s Creep on her blog.

The unplugged cover is a nice example of what might happen in a moment of struggle to write or record new material in the studio. Not bad at all!

Flying Lotus remixes Radiohead & The Long Lost

With his album out (and his Parisian Goldfish video stirring up blogs around the world), Flying Lotus did not sleep! There’s a remix for Radiohead’s competition, on which you can vote. And then you might remember Laura Darlington, voice on the tracks Unexpected Delight and Infinitum, also wife of fellow Daedalus. Well, Mr. and Mrs. Darlington have this project The Long Lost and will release their debut EP on Ninja Tune this autumn. Flying Lotus did two remixes for that, both are available for download over at the Jus’ Like Music blog.
