Eric Lau & Tawiah – Favourite Truth

Following 2010’s Always Will and a guest-spot on the Tatham, Mensah, Lord & Ranks, Eric Lau reunites with Kaidi Tatham on his latest record on Northern Shore. The track you can hear above is a first taste from his Love Call EP, to be released on May 12, 2014 on flexi-disc and digital download. Pre-order your copy today from the label’s Bandcamp store.

Maddslinky – Further Away (Ishfaq Remix)

I’m not always into Zed Bias and it’s usually his Maddslinky output I like best. His 2011 single Further Away featuring the wonderful Tawiah already came with a bunch of remixes, but that didn’t keep Ishfaq from giving the track his own touch.

You can download the remix for free, just make sure to leave some feedback on his SoundCloud. And as Ishfaq pointed out, make sure to check out the Kahn Remix as well.

Mark de Clive-Lowe Live Session

Back in May, keyboard maestro and MPC wizard Mark de Clive-Lowe was doing a club-tour through Europe with singer Tawiah. One of their stops was Bulgaria’s capital Sofia and a recording from that show is now available on SoundCloud.

Includes many MdCL classics like “Relax… Unwind”, “Traveling” or “Syndrome”, but the best part is you can download the whole session.

Oh, and as this is the first part I wonder if there’s more to come.

Mashi & Tawiah

From photographer Jan T. Sott I received a set of his latest pictures. It was only last month during Mark de Clive-Lowe‘s tour through Europe, when Jan asked Mark and singer Tawiah to pose for a series of portraits taken in a hotel room.

The entire set can be viewed on Jan’s Flickr page, more photos and a video from the tour can be found on Mark’s blog.

Freesoul Session Photography

The Freesoul Sessions London Finale was taking place on November 9, the last concert in the UK before Mark de Clive-Lowe moves to his new home Los Angeles. It featured an all-star line-up of Bembe Segue, Vanessa Freeman, Tawiah, Sharlene Hector, Mystro, Richard Spaven and guest appearances from Michelle Escoffery and MC Dynamite.

Austrian photographer Jan T. Sott (aka Idleberg) was there to take pictures, which are now online on his Flickr page. They are a bit on the experimental tip, but as these aren’t his first photos of a Freesoul Sessions he felt like trying a different approach. Hopefully, some of these will make it into his small edition book by the end of the year.
